How it works:

The base of the unit is made from black impact-resistant polymer.
Two layers of the latest development in shock absorbing foam are attached to the base plate and machined to the required comb profile.
The leather covering is soft and flexible. This allows the minimum restriction to the energy diffusion of the foam body.

This design maintains stability of the face on the stock but stops the cheek being violently impacted by the front of the comb.
The comb reduces vibration along the jaw bone and gives a smooth and controlled deceleration to the upward movement of the comb as it presses against the shooters face. This not only eliminates head lifting and blurring of vision but also the need to re-focus the eyes after firing. The eye / rib relationship is maintained for the next shot as required.
The comb is shaped to the individual profiles of both shooter and stock during fitting. For ultimate comfort and durability a thin leather cover is fitted to each unit.
Not only can this unique device increase accuracy for the shooter but a reduction in neck and lower back discomfort has been experienced during use.

Shooters react instinctively to the recoil of a shotgun or rifle and in most instances that reaction has a negative effect on our ability to hit the target consistently. One of the most common reactions is moving the face/cheek away from the comb of the stock as the trigger is squeezed. Better known as 'head lifting' this almost invariably results in the shot going 'high' in relation to the chosen point of impact.

By keeping the face in contact with the comb before and after firing a far greater degree of accuracy can be achieved.The ability to do this is very advantageous for the serious competition shooter.
